Sony PMW-EX3 Full HD solid state camcorder

The PMW-EX3 is the big brother of the superb EX1.  It features the same full HD 1/2″ CMOS image sensors and 35Mbps XDCAM EX recording but re-packaged into a larger chassis featuring a superb colour LCD monocular viewfinder, ergonomic shoulder brace and interchangeable EX lens mount.

Even though it’s not a full size shoulder-mount camcorder, the PMW-EX3′s innovative shoulder-brace design means that it is far more stable for handheld shooting.

It shoots 1080i or 1080P. And can film at 60fps for slow motion. It is suitable for documentary and low-budget fiction.

Sony HVR-Z1E Professional 1080i HDV / DVCAM Camcorder

The Z1 shoots miniDV, DVCAM and HDV at 1080i. It is the industry standard for low budget docs and promos.

The EOS 7D offers full HD movie filming. Unlike the EOS 5D Mark II, the EOS 7D also offers the ability to change the frame rates at which movies are shot, offering 24, 25 and 30 frames per second. Full manual control over the exposure as well, though auto movie exposure can still be used.
